Campbell, Eugene P. Hvizdak, Sr.,
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday January 17, 2015 at Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. and a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Christ our Savior Parish, Holy Trinity Church for Eugene P. Hvizdak, Sr. who died on Tuesday January 13, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital.
Eugene was born June 19, 1929 in Youngstown, OH, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Dluhos) Hvizdak.  He was a graduate of Struthers High School, a member of Holy Trinity Church and served in the US Army. He worked for the US Postal Service in Struthers as a clerk, retiring after 35 years of service. Eugene enjoyed playing golf and Bowling in many local leagues. He also belonged to many local seniors groups, the VFW Post 3538 and was on the Advisory Board in Coitsville Township. 
He is survived by five children, a son, Eugene P. Hvizdak, Jr. and his wife Diane of Sharon, PA, four daughters, Patricia J. Longmore and her husband David of Struthers, Cynthia D. Mostoller and her husband Adrian, of Bastian, VA., Susan M. Latarski and her husband Daniel of Broadview Heights, OH, and Monica L. Hvizdak who lived with her father in Campbell, two grandchildren, Christopher Hvizdak of Austin TX and Kenneth Longmore of Struthers.  
In addition to his parents, Eugene was preceded in death by his wife Delores (Rockwell) Hvizdak whom he married on January 22, 1952, she died July 21, 1999, two sisters, Mary Cifra and Catherine Hvisdak and two brothers, John Paul and Michael Hvisdak. 
Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 16, 2005 from 5 - 8 pm at Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 258 Poland Avenue in Struthers. Burial will take place in St. John Cemetery.
