YOUNGSTOWN - Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 1, 2015, at the Kirila Funeral Home in Struthers for Betty M. Scofinsky, 84, who passed away on Monday at Courtyard in Salem.

Betty was born on April 29, 1930, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Nils and Anna Marie Anderson.

Before retirement, Betty worked in the activities department of Little Forest Nursing Home in Boardman.

Surviving are two daughters, Betty (Tim) Meeds of Sebring and Jeanie (Darrell) Thompson of Hubbard; a brother, Roy Anderson of Boardman; four grandchildren, Wayne Jordan, Angela Brewer, Molly Cotofan and Amanda Meeds; and two great-grandchildren, Olivia and Erin Cotofan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Scofinsky, whom she married on Oct. 1, 1949, and who passed away on Nov. 8, 2008; three brothers, Glenn, Paul and Earl Anderson; and two sisters, Edith and Vera Anderson.

Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday, before the service at the funeral home.
