Walter  M. Mootz, 68, who passed unexpectedly on Sunday, October 28, 2018. Walter was born on May 18, 1950 in Youngstown, son of the late Walter and Bianca (Cutrone) Mootz. Walter was a graduate of East High School. He was an avid sports fan of the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns. He also had a great love for music. When a song played he could strum a  guitar to each note. (He taught, he loved, he believed) 

He was the father of three children, Walter Mootz, Fred (Melissa) Mootz and Nicole Walton, brother, Dave (Sue) Mootz, sisters, Kathy Nittoli and Lucille Moore, grandchildren, Allen Michael Carter, Gavin Dill and Paige Dill.

In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Carolyn DePietro, granddaughter, Corrissa Carter and a sister Helen Marie Mootz.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 258 Poland Avenue in  Struthers.
