Theresa R. (Crone) Margala

Theresa Rose Margala, 95, formerly of Fifth Street in Struthers, died September 20, 2020.
Theresa was born March 1, 1925, in Youngstown, a daughter of Teresina and Alfonso Cerrone (Crone).  Theresa grew up on the East Side of Youngstown, then became a longtime resident of Struthers.  She worked at General Electric, where she met her now-deceased husband, Clement Robert (“Bobby”) Margala, then worked in the Struthers School System before becoming a dedicated homemaker. 
Theresa will always be remembered for her kind and caring nature, and always had a smile on her face.  If you were looking for Theresa, odds are you did not have to look farther than across the street, as she loved to attend mass and sing in the choir at St. Nicholas Roman Catholic Church.  She was an avid walker with the family dog Nicky: she would stop and have a chat with anyone she encountered on the walks. She knew no strangers - everyone was a friend.  
Her husband Bobby preceded her in death on March 8, 1992, as did her siblings John Crone, Sam Crone, Elizabeth Pellegrine, Lina DiPinto, and Clara Speerbrecher. Theresa is survived by her daughters Roberta D’Angelo of Struthers and Judy Margala of Australia; her son-in-law Jun Fujikawa; grandson Michael D’Angelo, Jr. and his wife Tabitha; granddaughter Julia Fujikawa; great-grandson Caden D’Angelo; and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
There will be no calling hours.  A mass in her honor is scheduled on Tuesday, September 22 at 10:30 am, at Christ Our Savior Church in Struthers. Memorial contributions can be made to Christ Our Savior Church, 764 Fifth Street, Struthers, OH, 44471. Interment will be at St. John’s Cemetery. 

Theresa’s family would like to thank the many team members from Park Vista of Youngstown for their kindness and care of Theresa for the past two years of her life.
