Sandra J. Young

Sandra  J. Young, 52, of Youngstown, passed away on  October 19, 2024, at the Cleveland Clinic Hospital.

She was born in Youngstown on November 11, 1971, the daughter of the late Walter and Sylvia (Holby) Soich. Sandra was raised all her life in Struthers but recently lived in Youngstown. She was a graduate of Struthers High School. Sandra was a homemaker. She enjoyed being with her family, going camping, and she loved her fur baby, Shiny.

Sandra  is survived by her loving husband, Xavier L.Young Sr., whom she married on March 6, 1990, her sons, Xavier L. Young, Jr., Jermaine E. Young,  and Kobe M.Young, and three step-children, Darnell West, Andree West, and Leslie West. She is survived by her grandchildren, Xavier L. Young, III, and Marissa Young, along with 13 other grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, James Soich, and 2 sisters, Helen Wisler, and Cynthia Soich.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Soich, Jr., and a sister, Catherine Soich.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 26, 2024, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 258 Poland Avenue in Struthers, followed by a service at 11:00 am also at the funeral home. Sandra will be laid to rest at Lake Park Cemetery.
