Robert J. Gordon

Robert J. Gordon, 84, of Struthers, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at Hampton Woods. He was born April 30, 1941, in Youngstown, OH, a son of the late William A. Gordon and Mary E. (Mraz) Gordon.

He attended Sacred Heart to 11th grade then Choffin Career and Technical Center. He worked at Valley Pontiac as a mechanic, the Coca Cola Company in the maintenance department and Tractor Supply as an equipment operator. He then started Gordon's Excavating as an owner/operator for 37 years, retiring in 2003.

He was a past president of the Bessemer Rod & Gun Club. He was also a member of the Bessemer Coon & Fox Club.

Gordon is survived by his wife of 55 years Debbie Gordon; daughters, Robin Carr (Robert), four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, William Gordon, John Gordon, Daniel Gordon, Elizabeth Panning, Charles Gordon, Rosemary Meek; and a daughter, Rhonda M Kinney.

The family is honoring Robert's wishes and will not be holding any formal services.
