Kenneth T. Derkach, 74, of Youngstown, passed away at his residence on December 26, 2024.
He was born on June 9, 1950, in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of William and Rose Marie (Zalovchick) Derkach, Sr. Kenneth was a graduate of YSU, and worked as a Civil Engineer building new roads and bridges throughout the Ohio Valley. He was very involved in the Catholic Church (Christ the Good Shepherd, in Campbell) and regularly donated to many charities, including St. Jude Children's Hospital. He was a big fan of sports: following Ohio State football and basketball, but in general, he watched them all, football, baseball, and basketball. He had many hobbies, he loved building model trains and vintage cars, painting and maintaining the house, and collecting stamps and coins. He lovingly took care of his aging mother before her passing.
Kenneth is survived by; his nephew, Brad Derkach and niece, Stacey Meigs (Derkach)
He his parents, William Derkach, Sr., and Rose Marie Derkach preceded him in death along with his brother William Derkach who passed away on January 21, 2025.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 11:00 am at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish, 159 Reed Ave, Campbell, Ohio 44405.
Interment will follow at St. John Cemetery.
