It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen English on June 4, 2025, at her residence in Andover, Ohio. She was born on June 26, 1947, in Erie, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Gerald and Edith (Gradler) McLaughlin.
Karen used her excellent pin striping skills while working at Earl Shives and Maaco, and she enjoyed being a waitress at the pub in the Southern Park Mall. Karen loved going to roller skating dance competitions and driving the Amish around. She enjoyed hunting, golfing, and watching Ohio State football. Going anywhere with Karen was a treat; she always ran into someone she knew, and a great conversation ensued.
She is survived by her sister, Cindy (Dan) Wellman, brothers, Donald (Mac) McLaughlin, and Billy McLaughlin (Carla), granddaughter, Tarisa McLaughlin, daughter-in -law Dawn, Nieces Tina, Tracy, Cassie, Dawn and Tanya, nephews, Davey and Michael, a host of cousins and her beloved dog Snickers. All will sadly miss her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald McLaughlin the light of her life, brothers Michael McLaughlin, and David McLaughlin, and her life partner, Donald Garreffa.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 8, 2025, from 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm, followed by a service at 3:00 pm at Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Avenue in Struthers.
