John E. Sexton Jr.

Youngstown - John E Sexton Jr, 37, Born November 23, 1986 to John E Sexton Sr. and Sally Cummings Waters. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents. He’s survived by his daughter Astrid Sexton, step daughter, Addia, wife Kayla Sexton, siblings Bridgette Donatelli (Alan), Rory Cummings (Laura), Gwendolyn Blakeman, Caity Sexton, Melissa Kountz and his nieces Shakira, Markita, Mia, Alana and nephew DeAngel. 

A man of many hats Johnny was an incredible chef, taught by his brother Rory he went on to continue his passion and working at some of his favorite places in Ohio. Johnny also worked in construction, first learning from his father then later turning it into a career. He was able to travel the last few years for work, happily seeing much of the East coast. Through his travels, he would seek out some of the best fishing spots and the best restaurants. He had become quite the fisherman and also enjoyed fishing with his nephew. 

Johnny could light up a room with his blue eyes and a smile. Johnny had a gift to see people beyond the surface, to really connect with those fortunate enough to have had him in their lives. He always had a story to tell, a joke to laugh at, and a friend nearby to share it with. His daughter and siblings will forever have a missing piece. We will forever cherish and celebrate his memory. So remember to hold your loved ones while they’re here, celebrate them and love them loudly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024, from 4pm to 5:30pm at Kirila Funeral Home, Struthers, Ohio, followed by a Celebration of life at 5:30pm.
