Jean Rucci, 92 of Struthers, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2020, at her home. Jean was born on August 3, 1927, in Hillsville, Pa., daughter of the late Luigi and Florence (Creature) Biangone. She was a member at Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. She worked for the Struthers City Schools as a cleaning matron and was a homemaker. Jean was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society and a long time volunteer at St. Nicholas Church.
Jean is survived by her children, Patricia (John) Francosky, of Chesterfield, MO., Anthony Rucci of Columbus, OH., Louis (Phyllis) Rucci of Boardman, four brothers, Dominick Biangone, Frank (JoAnn) Biangone, Joseph (Carol) Biangone, Anthony Biangone, one sister, Georgina (Carmen) Cucitrone, ten grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Rucci whom she married on March 22, 1947, he died on January 10, 1988, a sister Lucy DiCarlo, and two brothers, Peter and James Biangone.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2020, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 258 Poland Avenue in Struthers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, 10:30 am at the Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church, with Rev. Martin Celuch, officiating. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 10:00 am for church. Entombment will take place in Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank Dr. Adrian Ieraci and Dr. Dominic Conti, the aides and staff at Home Helpers, St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman and Hospice of the Valley for their loving kindness.
