James J. Matricardi Sr.

James J. Matricardi Sr., 90, of Struthers, Ohio, died Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at St. Elizabeth Health Center in Boardman Ohio.

James was born on December 30, 1935 in Edinburg, PA, a son of the late Samuel Matricardi and Angeline (Rotz) Matricardi .

He was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Lowellville and worked for Steel Door and Falcon Foundry.

James leave his children, Jane Pavlicko (John), James Matricardi, Jr. (Janice), and Jill Schroeder (Bradley); grandchildren, James J. (Bun) Matricardi, III, Joseph Matricardi, Ryan Pavlicko (Laura), Jason Pavlicko, Jeren Schroeder, Brandon Schroeder, and Justin Schroeder; great-grandchildren, Elia Matricardi, and Sofia Matricardi.

Along with his parents, James was preceded in death by his wife Peggie Matricardi, whom he married July 1, 1960, she passed October 29 2005; he is also preceded in death by his siblings, Michael Petrock, Patsy Petrock, Johnny Matricardi, Lawrence Matricardi, Frederick Matricardi, Samuel Matricardi, Gina Scavnicky,  and Donald Matricardi.

A private family service will be held at St. John’s.
