New Middletown, Jack  Luzik, 87

Jack  Luzik, 87, who died on Sunday, May 5, 2019, in the Assumption Village in North Lima. Jack was born on March 1, 1932, in Youngstown, son of the late Jacob and Mary (Stretafski) Luzik. Jack worked for Republic Steel and retired after 33years of service. He was in the US Army, serving in the Korean War. During that time, Jack received a Purple Heart, Bronze Service Star, Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal. He was a member of the VFW Post 2799 in New Springfield. Jack enjoyed fishing, playing golf and spending time with his family, especially with his grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his children, Janet (John)  Luzik, of Canfield, Jack (Kathy) Luzik, of Hubbard, James Luzik, of New Middletown, and Beverly (Eric) Weingart, of East Palestine and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife, Marlene J. (Skolada)  Luzik whom he married on November 19, 1955, she died on October 8, 2010, and three brothers, John, Joe, and Eddy Luzik and his sister, Betty Green.

There are no calling or services planned.
