Struthers, Dorothy Irene Palascak, 91
 
A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday at the Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Christ our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church for Dorothy Irene (Thomas) Palascak, 91, who died peacefully on December 11, 2016 at Assumption Village after a prayer service with family members.  Her loving spirit will be sorely missed by her children, Gloria Bodnar and Edward (Helen) Palascak, her sisters Alice Richard, Mary Ann (Robert) Beck, and Patricia (William) Whetstone, her brother John (Anne) Thomas, and sister-in-law Eleanor Thomas. She will also be fondly remembered by her seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and many godchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Palascak, parents, John and Helen Thomas, and brothers, Robert and Richard.  She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.  Dorothy always responded generously to any family member, friend, neighbor or charitable organization in need.  She will live on in our memory as a warm, gentle, compassionate and generous woman. In lieu of flowers, her family would be grateful for memorial gifts directed to the Special Care Unit at Assumption Village where the staff cared for her with much compassion during the final years of her life.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 258 Poland Avenue in Struthers. Burial will take place in St. John Cemetery.
