Diane T. Barone, 68 of Struthers passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at Select Specialty Hospital in Boardman surrounded by her loved ones. Diane was born in Youngstown on March 12, 1955, the daughter of the late James D. and Theresa (Wilaj) Barone. Diane was a 1973 graduate of Struthers High School and a member of Holy Trinity Church. Over the years, Diane worked for Hills Department Store, Fashion Bug, as a manager, and the Greenbriar Nursing as an Occupational Therapist Aide where she gained recognition for working with the residents on their cooking skills. Diane enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, reading, and celebrating the Christmas holiday. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved cheering for the Blaney family. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, whom she often babysat. She also loved having coffee at night with her sister dear.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Nichole, and Nichole's fiancé, Phil Kindinis, her brother, Tim (Dede) Barone, two sisters, Debi Posey, and Cindi (Bob) Christy, her sister-in-law, Sandi Barone, and several nieces and nephews: Eric and Danielle, Jamie and Keith, Kyle and Kaitlin, Marc, Jessica and Nate, Austin and Taylor, Hailey and Domenic, Courtney and Noah, and one great-niece, Katarina. She is also survived by her Uncle, Lou Aunt Maryann Jackson, and her Aunt Martha Wilaj. Also surviving are her precious dogs Bella, Sophie, and Lilly June.

In addition to her parents, Diane was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Barone, and her brother-in-law, Doug Posey.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2024, from 2-4 pm at the Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 258 Poland Avenue in Struthers. A funeral service will be held at 4 pm also at the funeral home.

Diane will be laid to rest near her parents at St. John Cemetery.
