Anna Stash, 88
STRUTHERS – Mrs. Anna Stash, 88 years of age, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019.
She was born on March 30, 1930, in Slovakia to the late John and Katherine (Katsvinsky) Slavkosky.
She worked at the former Southside Hospital and retired after 20 years of service. Mrs. Stash was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish for the past 60 years. Anna loved to play cards with her daughters and was very talented with arts and crafts which she shared with family, friends and neighbors. She also loved her flowers and vegetable gardens. Her faith in Jesus Christ had helped her cope with many hardships during her life.
Mrs. Stash is survived by and will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Ms. Barbara Stash and Dr. Ann (Dr. John) Maskarinec; her two granddaughters, Mrs. Leslie Wright and Dr. Stacey (Dr. Derek Bartlett) Maskarinec; five great-grandchildren, Katie, Steven, Jonathan and Thomas Wright and Nova Bartlett; special niece, Anna Slobodnikova, of Slovakia.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve, who passed away on Jan. 28, 1990; one sister; and two brothers, in Slovakia.
There are no calling hours. A private ceremony for immediate family members was held at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc. with burial at St. John Cemetery. The Rev. Martin Celuh officiated the service.
