A prayer service will be held at 9:30 am on Monday, January 8, 2018 at Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am at Christ our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church for Armando Nicholas Rucci, age 63 who passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Monday, January 1, 2018. Nick was born on June 29, 1954 in Youngstown son of Armando and Sylvia (Macciomei) Rucci.

Nick has enjoyed retirement from The Coca-Cola company since December 2016 after 32 years of service and has been enjoying caring for his adoring grandson, the apple of his eye. Following retirement, Nick has been working part-time as a noon-time aide at West Blvd Elementary School. In addition, he retired as a volunteer firefighter in Struthers, was a volunteer police officer for the SPD and worked at Kirila Funeral Home.

He was known as "Big Guy", had a heart of gold, and was always available to help anyone in need. His hobbies included muscle cars, a growing train collection, and he was a talented cook.

He possessed a wonderful and clever sense of humor and shared many laughs with others.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 41 years, Laura, two daughters, Lisa Rucci, Jennifer Fellows, son-in-law Joseph Fellows, his precious grandson Conner, his father, Armando Rucci, whom he phoned every evening, sister Marie (Richard) Mrosko, brothers Dennis (Karen) Rucci, and Richard (Denise) Rucci. He also leaves behind 7 nephews, 4 nieces, 5 great-nephews, and 3 great nieces. He was preceded in death by his son, Nicholas in 1997 and his mother, Sylvia in 2003.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. in Struthers. Burial will take place in Lake Park Cemetery.
