Louis J. Csizmadia, 85
POLAND – A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 11, 2019, at 7 p.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc. for Louis J. Csizmadia, 85, who passed away at Fairview Hospital in Cleveland on March 4, 2019.
Louis was born in Youngstown on Oct. 15, 1933, son of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Mesaros) Csizmadia.
Louis was a graduate of Wilson High School and Youngstown College. He served in the U.S. Army and was stationed overseas in Germany. He worked as a foreman for General Fireproofing where he worked for 39 years. He was a member at the Gibson Heights Church, serving as an Elder and later he was a member of the Heritage Presbyterian Church. He belonged to the General Fireproofing Foremen’s Club. He was a Cleveland Browns and Indians fan and Ohio State fan. He cherished the memories of fishing with his son, John as a young boy.
Louis is survived by his children, John (Kay) Csizmadia, Susan Danley, Patty (Jim) Annis and Linda (Chris) Robertson; along with seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia E. (Martin) Csizmadia, whom he married on Feb. 26, 1966, she died Feb. 16, 2010; a sister, Elizabeth Carabbia; brother Michael Csizmadia; and granddaughter Rachel Pierce.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave. in Struthers.
