Karoline Mrvelj, 94

STRUTHERS – Karoline Mrvelj, 94, passed away on Tuesday, June 12, 2018.
Karoline was born on July 9, 1923, in Karnten, Austria, daughter of the late Karl and Maria (Reiter) Kulterer.
Karoline was a homemaker. She enjoyed taking Sunday drives, working in her flower garden, going to the mall and especially spending time with her family.
Karoline is survived by two daughters, Mary Kropinak, husband Herm Jackson, of Vienna and Kathy Girard, husband Anthony, of Canterbury, Conn.; four sons, John Mrvelj of Struthers, Mark Mrvelj, wife Anna, of Boardman, Anthony Mrvelj, wife Darlene, of Lordstown, and Matthew Mrvelj of Struthers; two brothers, Karl and Siegfried Kulterer; her grandchildren, Allen and Adam Girard, Joshua, Aaron, and Nicholas Mrvelj, and Derick Sallaz; and her great-grandchildren, Addison, Paityn and Aiden Girard.
In addition to her parents, Karoline was preceded in death by her husband, Mato Mrvelj, whom she married, Sept. 4, 1948, and he died Jan. 25, 2000; her son, Charles Mrvelj; two brothers, Walter and Rudy Kulterer; and two sisters, Hermine Pipp and Maria Rupnig.
Visitation will be held Saturday, June 16, 2018, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery.
