Janet E. (Reiter) Bowser, 83

Poland, A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 3:00 pm at the Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road in Boardman for Jan Bowser who passed away on December 29, 2016 with her family at her side. Jan was born in Youngstown daughter of the late Carl L.and Elva L. (Davis) Reiter.She was a 1951 graduate of South High School, she worked for Dr. Robert Powell for 15 years, Dr. Ray LaRue for 12 years in Winter Haven , Florida and was co/owner of the Bowser Red Cap Dry Cleaners. She was a member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine, the Mill Creek Chapter of ABWA and Welcome Wagon 5th Wheel Club. Jan was known for her baking, especially her cookies, she enjoyed doing crafts and most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.She traveled every year with her family to Brigantine Island, NJ.

Jan is survived by her husband, William E. Bowser whom she married on November 1,1952, her son, Terry (Elaine) Bowser of Forest Hill, MD, her daughter, Leeann (James) Gill of Poland, her grandchildren, Ryan Gill and Kelsey Gill of Poland, Karen (Kyle) Kirikpatrick of Lewis Berry, PA, Craig (Maria) Bowser of Carney, MD, David (Meghan) Bowser of Bel Air, MD and her great-grandchildren, Kayla & Ryan Kirkpatrick and Garrett & Alton Bowser.

In Addition to her parents, Jan was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Reiter and her sister, Gerrie Schaeffer.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm at the Disciples Christian Church.

The family would like to thank the nurses and all of the staff at the St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center and Hospice of the Valley.
