Christine M. Crnic, 97

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 10:30 am at Holy Apostles Parish, SS.Peter & Paul Church for Christine M. Crnic, who passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at Liberty Arms Assisted Living. Christine was born on April 11, 1920 in PineyFork, Ohio, daughter of the late Paul and Kristina (Miklinic) Crnic. She was a 1940 graduate of East High School and worked at McCorory Five & Ten store in downtown Youngstown for 10 years and retired from General Fireproofing after 30 years. She was a member at SS. Peter & Paul Church. She was a member of the SNPJ Lodge 153 of Youngstown and a lifetime member of the Slovenian Singing Society. Christine enjoyed traveling and especially traveling to her parents home town in Yugoslavia. She also enjoyed Polka dancing.

Christine is survived by two nephews, Paul (Patty) Cernich of Niles, OH; David (Ellen) Cernich of Pittsburgh, PA; a niece, Paulette (Carter) Jones of (Southern Shores) NC; her great-nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Jessica, Justine, Michael, Ali, Julia and Hudson, nine great- great nephews and nieces-- and her sister-in-law, Alice Cernich of Girard, OH.

In additions to her parents, Christine was preceded in death by her sisters, Margaret Marie Crnic and Ann Babich and her brother, Joseph Cernich.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 9:30 am -10:30 am at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 421 Covington Street in Youngstown. Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to the thank the staff at Windsor House at Liberty Arms Assisted Living Residence and Dr. Blecher for their care and support for Christine.
