Ann M. Babich, 94,

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am at Holy Apostles Parish, SS.Peter & Paul Church for Ann M. Babich, formerly of Struthers who passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Ann was born on July 22, 1922 in PineyFork, Ohio, daughter of the late Paul and Kristina (Miklinic) Crnic. She was a 1941 graduate of East High School and worked at Joe Smith Bakery in the Uptown and on Mahoning Avenue until her retirement. She was a member at SS. Peter & Paul Church. She was a member of the SNPJ Lodge 153 where she served as secretary for 35 years. She was a member of the Slovenian Singing Society of Girard for 30 years. Ann also enjoyed traveling with her husband Steve and loved to Polka dance.

Ann is survived by her sister, Christine Crnic; two nephews, Paul (Patty) Cernich of Niles, OH; David (Ellen) Cernich of Pittsburgh, PA; a niece, Paulette (Carter) Jones of (Southern Shores) NC; seven great nieces and nephews and nine great-great nieces and nephews and her sister-in-law, Alice Cernich of Girard, OH.

In additions to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Steve (Pep) Babich, her sister, Margaret Marie (Crnic) and her brother, Joseph Cernich.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017 from 10-11 am at SS. Peter & Paul Church, 421 Covington Street in Youngstown. Burial will take place in the Calvary Cemetery.
