WICKLIFFE - A prayer service will be held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Christ our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church for Angela C. Giancola, 83, formerly of Struthers, who died on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Wickliffe Country Place.
Angela was born on Feb. 20, 1935, daughter of the late Louis and Anna (Tomasino) Bellanca.
Angela was a former member of St. Nicholas Church and was a graduate of Youngstown State University. At one time she worked as an accountant in the Youngstown area. She later worked as a nursing assistant and a Realtor while living in the Cleveland area. Angela enjoyed cooking, baking and dancing. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Lamanna of Austintown; two sons, Joseph R. Giancola of Cape Coral, Fla. and Glenn (Michelle) Giancola of Hayward Hills, Calif.; her brother, Carmen (Aurora) Bellanca of Dayton; her grandchildren, Jeannine (Jason) Lindquist, John (Jennifer) Lamanna, Linda Giancola, Annie Giancola, Andrew (Keith) Giancola, Alix (Kyle) Giancola, David Giancola and Michael Giancola; and her great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Jenna, Nicholas, Charlotte, Bayden, Bella, Calla, Stone, Atticus and Cullen.
In addition to her parents, Angela was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Giancola; two sons, James P. Giancola and Ronald D. Giancola; a sister, Lena Schepka; a brother, Vincent (Guy) Bellanca; and her daughter-in-law, Althea Giancola.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 258 Poland Avenue in Struthers. Burial will take place in the St. John Cemetery.
