Andrew J. Berchik Jr., 77
LOWELLVILLE – A prayer service will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at 12:30 p.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m. at Christ Our Savior Parish, Holy Trinity Church for Andrew J. Berchik Jr., 77, who unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, June 23, 2018.
Andrew was born on July 27, 1941, in Lowellville, son of the late Andrew and Anna Marie (Ribarich) Berchik Sr.
He was a 1959 graduate of the Rayen School and a member at the Holy Trinity Church.
He worked at Youngstown Steel Door, North Star Steel and retired from Extreme Machine. He loved restoring his Mustangs and enjoyed going to cars shows, especially the Lowellville Car Show. His favorite sports team was the Cleveland Indians. Andrew loved his cat, O’Riley and his many outdoor cats. He also enjoyed taking trips to Myrtle Beach. Andrew loved helping people. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
Andrew is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann (Sudol) Berchik, whom he married Sept. 30, 1961; his daughter, Laurie (Michael) Krulich of Macedonia; his son, Andrew (Cynthia) Berchik of Lake Havasu City, Ariz.; and a sister, Patty (Frits) Meijer of Baltimore.
In addition to his parents, Andrew was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Berchik; and two brothers, Johnny and Eddy Berchik.
Calling hours will be on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave. in Struthers. Burial will be at St. John Cemetery.
In place of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley and the Holy Trinity Church.
