GREENVILLE, S.C. - Matthias “Matt” L. Beil passed away on Friday, June 12, 2015, in Seneca, S.C. under the care of Hospice. Matt formerly resided in Boardman.
Matt was born Aug. 31, 1946, in Youngstown, son of the late Leo and Jean (Kelly) Beil.
He was a 1964 graduate of Cardinal Money High School and attended Youngstown State University. Matt was the owner and operator of A.M. Party Rentals located in Boardman. He retired in 2010. He was a lifelong member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and served on its Parish Council. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict and received a bronze star for his honorable service. He was a member of the Boardman Rotary Club, receiving the Paul Harris Award for his volunteer efforts and community involvement. Matt was also a Knight of Columbus, 4th Degree.

Matt is survived by his wife, Audrey (Simpkins) Beil, whom he married June 9, 1973; his son, Matthias (Matt) Beil and his wife, Jennifer of Seneca; his daughter, Monica L. Critell and her husband, Matthew of Simpsonville, S.C.; his sister, Sue Valentini and her husband, Jim of Boardman; his brother-in-law, Chuck Mascarella of Boardman; and two grandchildren, Madelyn and Ellie Critell. In addition to his parents, Matt was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Mascarella.

A private memorial service was held in Seneca.
