Katherine L. Plevniak, 92

BOARDMAN - Services will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, at 10:45 a.m., at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc., and at 11:30 a.m. at the Holy Apostles Parish, SS Peter & Paul Croatian Roman Catholic Church, for Katherine L. Plevniak, 92, who passed away on Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, Greenbriar Health Care Center in Boardman.
Katherine was born on June 9, 1922, in Youngstown, daughter of the late Ljubic and Katherine (Drojan) Plesac.

She was a member of the Holy Apostles Parish, SS Peter & Paul Croatian Roman Catholic Church. Katherine was the former owner of Kay¹s Beauty Salon in downtown Youngstown. She was also a member of St. George Lodge No. 66 and the A.C.C. Club.

She is survived by her sister, Louise Safarek of Struthers and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Ljubic and Katherine Plesac, and husband, Joseph J. Plevniak, whom she married June 3, 1947, he died Nov. 3, 2002, she was also preceded in death by two brothers, John and Frank Plesac, and two sisters, Ann Yovich and Mary Turscak Frketich.

Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 3, 2014, from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave. in Struthers.
Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery.
