Jackie (Mazzocco) Peterson, 70 of Enon Valley passed away the evening of  January 8, 2015 at Avalon Nursing Center. Jackie was born November 6, 1944 in New Castle, PA. daughter of the late Angelo and Mary (Caravella)  Mazzocco. Jackie was a graduate of New Castle High School, she attended Christ the King  Parish, St. Anthony Church in Bessemer. She worked at St. Francis Hospital in the Pediatric Department and then at Jameson Memorial Hospital as a Nurses Aid where she retired after thirty years of service. Jackie enjoyed traveling especially to Florida and Hawaii. She loved cooking especially when family and friends would visit. Jackie also enjoyed raising her pet dogs.

Jackie is survived by her husband, Tommy Peterson whom she married February 8, 1969, her brother Angelo Mazzocco and his wife Eileen of Lewis Center, OH., and several nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Dakota.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday January 13, 2015  from 4:00  - 7:00 pm at the Terry A. Cunningham Funeral Home, 203 Oak Street in Bessemer, PA. and on Wednesday January 15, 2015 from 10:00 am - 10:30 am at Christ the King Parish, St. Anthony Church in Bessemer, where a  Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10:30 am., The Rev. James Downs will officiate.  Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
