Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 12:30pm at Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. and a funeral mass at 1:00 pm at Christ our Savior Parish, Holy Trinity Church for Gertrude L. Petko who died on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at Hampton Woods. Gertrude was born in Struthers, Ohio on November 17, 1923 daughter of the late Fredrick and Anna (Marshall) Stropich. She was a member at Holy Trinity Church, the VFW Ladies Auxiliary and the Jednota Lodge.
She is survived by her children, Ronald W. (Margaret) Petko in South Carolina and William (Janine) Petko of Boardman, her grandchildren, Ronnie (Danica) Petko, Christopher Petko and Heather, Heather (Dan) Brammer, Brittany Petko and Mike, John Wells and Errin (John) Broadway and her great-grandchildren, Madison, Isaac, John (JJ), Danny, Johnny and Jadyn and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband William E. Petko, her daughter, Karen Wells, two brothers, Fredrick and Phillip Stropich, her sister Margaret Lucas and her niece, Phyllis Stropich.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, June 18, 2016 from 10:30am - 12:30pm at Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. in Struthers. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery.
