Struthers, Evelyn Irene (Cunning) Householder, 100

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 am at Christ our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church for Evelyn I. Householder who passed away on March 15, 2017 at the University Hospital in Ravenna. Evelyn was born on March 26, 1916 in Sawtelle, CA., daughter of the late John and Maude (Rearick) Cunning. She was a member of Christ our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church. She was an avid reader, loved to travel, playing cards and going to movies. She enjoyed music, especially Johnny Cash. She and her husband Bill loved to dance. She always sent something to the church for their bake sales.The Elmton was her favorite place to get pepperoni pizza and beer. Evelyn worked 25 yrs. at the downtown Strous Hirshberg Co.,

where she made many lifelong friends. She retired in 1982. She most enjoyed spending time with her family and visiting with her siblings in Florida,Texas and Oregon.

Evelyn is survived by her two sons, William (Emilie) Housholder, James (Linda) Householder, a daughter, Susan (John) Doughton, six grandchildren, Frank Dobozy, Jill Dobozy, Jenna Bear, Leslie Deacon, Melissa Payne, Michelle Householder, twelve great grandchildren and seven great- great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William H. Householder, he died November 30, 1988, her daughter, Sandra, three brothers, Joe, Ray and Roy and two sisters, Florence and Gladys.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 25, 2017, 10:00 am - 11:00 am at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. In place of flowers, donations can be made to First Harvest Food Bank and Catholic Charities.
