Elsie E. Krake, 92
STRUTHERS - Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2015, at 9:30 a.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at the Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church for Elsie E. Krake, 92, who passed away on Dec. 23, 2015, at Humility House, surrounded by her family.
Elsie was born on Sept. 3, 1923, daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Feo) Varacall.
She was a graduate of Struthers High School, a member at Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church and its Altar and Rosary Society, Infant Jesus of Prague Society, bereavement group and the Struthers Senior Citizens Group. Elsie also enjoyed playing bingo and cards. She most enjoyed her spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son, Michael (Pat) Krake of Struthers; her daughter, Barb (Jim) Sympson of Austintown; her grandchildren, Michael (Miriam) Krake of Boardman, Robert (Chariya) Krake of Boardman, Justin Riley of Struthers, Brandon Riley of Cleveland, Jamie Sympson of Austintown, and Scott Sympson of Toledo; and great-grandchildren, Gavin, Alina and Harlow Krake and Grace Sympson.
In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband, Michael Krake, whom she married Dec. 1, 1945, and who died March 15, 1990; her brother, James Varacall; and her sister, Mary Danko.
Visiting hours will be held Monday, Dec. 28, 2015, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave. in Struthers.
Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to the nurses and staff at Humility House for their care, support and kindness to Elsie and her family.
