Poland, Elmer A. Kopcsos, 93

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Kirila Funeral Home, Inc. for Elmer A. Kopcsos who passed away peacefully on Monday, March 13, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Elmer was born on February 12, 1924 in Campbell, Ohio, son of John and Agnes (Viczai) Kopcsos. Elmer worked as a Carpenter for US Steel for 35 years, he served in the US Naval amphibious forces in the Pacific Theatre during WWII. He also served in the "CCC's" from 1941-1942 in Pritchard, Idaho. He was a member of the Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church. Elmer was an avid hunter, fisherman and carpenter his entire life.

Elmer is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Twila (Lanterman) Kopcsos, his daughter, Carol (Randall) Jonda of Longwood, FL; three grandchildren, Kimberly, Kelley, Randy; and six great-grandchildren. Elmer was preceded in death by his father, John Kopcsos and his mother Agnes Kopcsos Vince and two brothers, John & Eugene Kopcsos.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 21, 2017 from 9:30 am - 11:00 am at Kirila Funeral Home, Inc., 258 Poland Avenue in Struthers. Burial will take place in the Green Haven Memorial Gardens.
